MARÍA ALQUEZAR
Telling stories through acting, writing and media
About Me
I was born and raised in Argentina, and from a young age, communication and entertainment have been part of my life. I started with dance and musical theatre, and although it was just a hobby at the time, I was always fascinated by storytelling and connecting with people.
At 17, I moved to New York to study acting professionally, on my own, discovering the value of independence, resilience, and passion for what I do.
During my time in New York, I participated in short films, theatre productions, and international film festivals, where I interviewed actors and directors in front of large audiences in a language that wasn’t my first. I also began working as a model, appearing in magazines and creative projects that deepened my connection with the visual side of storytelling.
Today, I continue to grow in the entertainment industry while pursuing a Master’s in Media and Entertainment at Rome Business School and working at my family’s company, combining human resources with communication and marketing.
I believe in diving into opportunities, exploring them even when they feel intimidating, and learning constantly. This website is a space to share my work, my story, and my personal growth.

Acting
For me, acting is a space of honesty, a way to translate feelings into something tangible, human, and shared.

Modeling
Modeling has allowed me to explore another side of storytelling, through images, movement, and emotion. From editorial shoots in New York to creative collaborations in Argentina, I see modeling as a space where art and confidence meet.
Projects/Creative work

I’m also part of the upcoming short film Voy a Morir as a producer, currently in pre-production.
As a writer, I created Collection Piece, a sci-fi emotional story about memory and identity.
In New York, I worked with the Big Apple Film Festival and the Greenpoint Film Festival as a screener, moderator, and volunteer, gaining valuable experience in the international film industry.
